At GlucoControl, we value the trust you place in us when managing your health information. This policy explains how we protect your privacy.

            Quick Summary: Your glucose data never leaves your phone, except when you choose to export or share it yourself. We only use the internet to connect with the AI for analysis, process donations through Google Play, and display ads.
        

1. Information We Collect

Our application is designed under the principle of data minimization:

Glucose History: This is stored locally in your device's database.
Optional additional data: You can optionally log insulin, carbohydrates, and medication alongside each reading. This is stored locally along with the rest of your history.
Personalization: Your name is stored locally to provide a personalized experience in the interface.
Reminders: Any reminder times you configure are stored locally on your device.

2. Reminders and Notifications

GlucoControl can send you local notifications at the times you configure, to remind you to log your measurements. These notifications are generated and shown directly on your device: no information is sent to our servers or to third parties to schedule them.

3. Use of Artificial Intelligence

When you request an AI analysis, your glucose reading and related context (time of day, notes) are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate an informational suggestion. This data is processed in real time, is not permanently stored by us, is not used to create commercial profiles, and is not sold to third parties. These suggestions are educational in nature and do not constitute a medical diagnosis.

4. Exporting Your History

You can export your measurement history to a PDF file, for example to share it with your doctor. This export happens entirely on your device; the file is only shared if you explicitly choose to do so through your operating system's share options.

5. Purchases and Donations

GlucoControl offers the option to make voluntary donations through Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled by Google Play; we do not collect or store any card or financial information. Donations are entirely optional and do not unlock any additional app features.

6. Local Storage

Since data is stored locally, if you delete the app's data or uninstall the application, your records will be permanently deleted. We recommend keeping an external backup (for example, by exporting your history to PDF) if you consider it necessary.

7. Advertising and Third Parties

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. These services may collect your device's advertising ID to show relevant content, which helps us keep the application free of charge.

8. Security

We implement SSL/TLS protocols for any communication between the app and the cloud, ensuring that your AI queries and donations travel securely.
